How the Fund works

The Ethical Leaders Global Shares Fund recognises that environmental, social and ethical considerations, labour standards and corporate governance factors can positively impact long term business success. Taking these factors into account when investing, the fund targets competitive investment performance with clear social and environmental outcomes.

The fund currently invests in the Ethical Leaders International Shares Fund, a fund managed by AMP Capital in Australia.

  • Currency risk is managed through hedging

    Movements in the foreign exchange rate have an impact on offshore investments. To help manage this risk the fund is partially hedged to the New Zealand dollar

The Ethical Leaders International Share Fund takes a responsible investment approach which integrates Environmental, Social and Governance factors while avoiding companies or industries with recognised high negative social impact. This fund has been certified by the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia (RIAA*). The fund targets a position of being 69% gross hedged to the New Zealand dollar. The hedges are based on the currency components of the underlying index.
