A relatively stable global growth outlook belies an underlying divergence in prospects, especially among the key developed economies. Following a period of synchronised upward momentum through 2017, mid-way through 2018 it is only the United States with continued momentum. Rising trade tensions are the biggest downside risk to the growth outlook.
