A synchronised cyclical upswing among the world’s major developed economies saw global growth come in at 3.7% in 2017, its highest rate since 2011. Into 2018, global economic activity seems to be consolidating and we don’t expect global growth to push on much higher, but neither do we see any signs of imminent slowdown.
