The AMP Capital Ethical Leaders funds (the EL funds) have a very clear mission - to invest for the long term while making the world a better place. We do this in a few ways:
By excluding the companies and assets that have a significant negative social impact;
By investing in companies and managers at the better end of the spectrum on environmental, social or governance issues;
By choosing equity managers in Australia and overseas who engage with companies and lobby for change.
It is this third pillar that is crucial when it comes to making a difference.
