Infrastructure debt fund

Overview

Our infrastructure debt fund is a closed ended fund which invests in the subordinated debt of essential infrastructure assets. This fund will focus on defensive businesses in developed countries, particularly those headquartered in Europe, North America and Australia. It will target sectors that serve as the backbone for the provision of essential products and services such as gas, water, electricity, transport and social infrastructure including schools, hospitals and aged care.

The fund expects to take a lead arranging or cornerstone role in the majority of its transactions where the investment team will focus on adding value through originating, structuring and leading pricing and terms discussions. Where appropriate, it will also participate in other subordinated debt transactions that meet its criteria and offer attractive investment opportunities.

AMP Capital has been successfully investing in the subordinated debt of infrastructure businesses for more than 10 years.
