Overview
AMP Capital's real estate securities fund provides access to global property investment opportunities through a single fund.
The fund aims to generate medium to high returns over the long term by investing in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and property securities companies in Asia Pacific, North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This has the potential to enhance the risk and return profile of an investor’s portfolio.
Investors in our real estate securities fund benefit from the diversification of around 60-85 stocks in a number of sectors and across a diverse range of geographies. They also benefit from the real estate securities skills of our teams on the ground in Sydney, Singapore, London and Chicago.

Kim Redding
Kim Redding has more than 29 years experience in the real estate industry and has founded and co-founded three investment advisory firms specialising in real estate securities. Mr Redding also has direct property experience in acquisitions, joint venture investment, construction lending, permanent lending, asset management and land planning.
Mr Redding has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate from California State University, Fullerton.
Jason Baine
Jason Baine is the Director and Global Portfolio Manager with key responsibilities in securities analysis and fundamental industry and real estate related research. Mr Baine is also a member of the Portfolio Management team and assists in construction, execution and daily oversight of several portfolio strategies. Mr Baine has over 12 years of investment management experience in the real estate securities area and has extensive modelling and corporate strategy experience.
Mr Baine is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and he has an A.B. degree in Government and Economics from Georgetown University.
Brett Ward
Brett Ward has 15 years’ experience in real estate funds management and stockbroking. Mr Ward joined AMP Capital in May 1999 as an Investment Analyst. He has been responsible for all of AMP Capital’s real estate securities business since 2000. His responsibilities have included the analysis of real estate markets and company fundamentals, portfolio construction and asset allocation in a real estate securities context.
Mr Ward has a Bachelor of Economics (majoring in Finance and Accounting) from Macquarie University and postgraduate qualification from the Securities Institute of Australia.
