Overview
AMP Capital's key Asian infrastructure product provides investors with access to infrastructure in the high growth markets of China and India.
We have been successfully investing in Indian infrastructure since 1994. Our on the ground team operates from our Delhi and Beijing offices and has strong regional partnerships. Our infrastructure specialists are supported by an alliance with China Life Asset Management Company, one of China’s leading financial services companies, and other local networks of deal-sourcing specialists.
AMP Capital is among the earliest infrastructure investors active in India – having invested in the market since 1994. AMP Group (AMP) established a presence in China in 1997 with the opening of the office in Beijing.
AMP Capital believes that, India and China, together, offer an optimal diversification mix of infrastructure assets that will generate superior, long term risk-adjusted returns – with investment opportunities in India focused on core infrastructure (including power, telecommunications and development transportation), and in China focused on urban infrastructure (including water and energy supply, waste management and urban transportation).
AMP Capital believes its measured and thoughtful approach to infrastructure investments in Asia positions it well to take advantage of investment opportunities in two very attractive, yet complex and complementary markets.
This fund aims for long-term capital appreciation, interest and dividend income from its investments.
