Patrick Trears is a Principal in AMP Capital Infrastructure Debt Fund with over 15 years’ experience in Infrastructure investing across the Americas and Europe. Mr. Trears is responsible for heading up AMP Capital Infrastructure Debt Fund in the Americas, focusing on mezzanine and subordinated debt opportunities. Since joining AMP Capital, Mr. Trears has been actively involved in building AMP Capital profile in the mezzanine / subordinated debt sector, while successful fundraising US$1.1bn for AMP Capital Infrastructure Debt Fund II. Mr. Trears has worked on numerous mezzanine investments across power generation assets and independent power producers, most recently closing an C$110m investment for Alterra Power Corporation and an US$100m investment in Astoria Energy a 550mw combined cycle generation facility in New York.
Mr. Trears was previously a Director at WestLB infrastructure team covering the Americas, working across the energy and transportation assets. Some of the assets closed under his guidance include, Port of Miami tunnel, I- 95, PR 22, Ontario PPS, and Embraport. Prior to that he worked at Citi Investment banking platform in New York and London. Mr. Trears is a member of AMP Capital’s Infrastructure Debt Investment Committee. Mr. Trears received Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin.
