AMP Capital established its representative office in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2011 after having been licensed (Licence No. Rep/042) by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). The Bahraini office undertakes client relationship and general promotional activities on behalf of AMP Capital focusing on our real estate, infrastructure and securities (fixed income and equities) capabilities. We have a strong track record, extending over ten years, working with family offices through to institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds.

Piers Wheeler
Piers Wheeler heads up the Bahrain representative office after having joined AMP Capital in October 2010. Mr Wheeler is responsible for maintaining existing relationships and general promotional activities regarding AMP Capital’s international capabilities and products. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Mr Wheeler was a strategic consultant for LEK Consulting and for the last 7 years has worked in the real estate industry in London, New York and most recently the Middle East where he was Head of Capital Markets for an international real estate advisory firm.
Mr Wheeler has an MA from Oxford University, an MA from CASS Business School and is MRICS qualified.
